Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Waitress to join our team. As a Waitress, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is both enjoyable and memorable. Your role will involve taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Role and  Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests.
  • Ensure guests’ needs are met and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist with menu suggestions and answer questions about food and drink items.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and handle any concerns or complaints professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Process customer payments and provide accurate change when necessary.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment.

 

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Previous Experience (Preferred but not required):
    Experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality setting is a plus but not essential for a motivated individual who’s eager to learn.

  • Communication Skills:
    Strong verbal communication skills are required to interact with customers and team members clearly and professionally.

  • Customer Service Skills:
    A friendly, positive attitude and the ability to handle customer requests or complaints with professionalism and empathy.

  • Multitasking Ability:
    Must be able to juggle multiple tasks efficiently, such as taking orders, serving food, and clearing tables, all while ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Physical Stamina:
    Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry items like trays of food, drinks, and cleaning supplies.

  • Team Player:
    Ability to collaborate effectively with other waitstaff, kitchen, and bar personnel to ensure smooth service.

  • Attention to Detail:
    Must be detail-oriented to ensure orders are accurate and customers’ needs are met promptly.

  • Time Management:
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently to serve customers in a timely manner.

  • Flexibility:
    Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on restaurant needs.

  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage:
    Basic understanding of the menu and drink options, with a willingness to learn about the restaurant's offerings to make recommendations to guests.

  • Cleanliness & Sanitation Knowledge:
    A commitment to maintaining cleanliness, including washing hands regularly, cleaning tables, and following safety protocols.

  • Positive Attitude:
    A cheerful and approachable demeanor, able to handle busy or stressful situations with a calm and helpful attitude.
