Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and service-oriented Waiter/Waitress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and delivering excellent dining experiences to our guests. You will be responsible for providing prompt and courteous service, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their visit.

Role and Responsibilities:

Guest Interaction:

  • Greet customers warmly and guide them to their tables.
  • Present menus, offer detailed information about menu items, and answer any questions or concerns regarding food and beverages.
  • Offer suggestions for specials, appetizers, drinks, and desserts to enhance the dining experience.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders, considering any special requests or dietary restrictions.

Order Management:

  • Communicate orders clearly and effectively to kitchen and bar staff.
  • Ensure food and drinks are delivered to the correct tables promptly and accurately.
  • Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any additional requests.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain a polite, friendly, and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns with a positive attitude, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
  • Process guest payments, including cash, credit cards, and vouchers, and ensure accuracy in billing.

Table Maintenance:

  • Set up tables with proper utensils, napkins, and condiments before guests are seated.
  • Clear tables and clean up dining areas between seatings to ensure a tidy environment.
  • Assist in keeping service areas stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., silverware, napkins, condiments).

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other staff members (e.g., kitchen staff, bartenders, hosts) to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Help other team members during busy periods and cover for colleagues when necessary.

Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:

  • Follow all restaurant safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Be familiar with and comply with health codes, particularly regarding food handling and serving.
