Role and Responsibilities:
Manage routine surveillance activities across a broad range of projects and maintain detailed site records of work performed and construction activities to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the quality systems and contract documents.
Conduct safety and environmental management and risk assessments and safe work method statement reviews to ensure that work is completed in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner.
Track and document surveillance data, including the quality of materials used, construction methods, and work progress to maintain detailed and accurate records.
Ensure proper surveillance systems are in place, such as CCTV, drones, or other technology, for ongoing monitoring of site conditions and activities.
Conduct daily or periodic site inspections to identify any discrepancies, safety hazards, or environmental concerns and report findings accordingly.
Verify adherence to project schedules and timelines by tracking work progress and identifying delays or obstacles that may arise.
Ensure all personnel follow security protocols by monitoring site access, verifying credentials, and checking safety equipment.
Conduct surveillance audits to assess the effectiveness of safety protocols and procedures in place, ensuring that corrective actions are taken when necessary.
Assess and review subcontractor activities during surveillance to ensure they comply with contract requirements and quality standards.
Investigate and report on any suspicious activities or deviations from approved plans, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented.
Prepare and maintain surveillance logs detailing work activities, incidents, observations, and other key findings from site visits.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Matric (High school diploma or equivalent).
At least one year of relevant experience.
Completion of an English course.
Verbal English communication skills.
Writing English communication skills.
Observing skills (ability to observe and understand content or activities)
