An Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and analyzing financial data to assist organizations in making informed financial decisions. They play a crucial role in ensuring financial compliance and efficiency.

Role and Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general accounts.
  • Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate periodic reports to provide insights into the organization's financial health.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted figures and provide variance analysis.

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Audit Support:

  • Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Account Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by investigating and resolving discrepancies or irregularities.

Payroll Processing:

  • Calculate and process employee payroll, ensuring accurate deductions and compliance with labor laws.

Expense Management:

  • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring cost-effective financial operations.

Financial Software and Tools:

  • Utilize accounting software and financial tools for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

Financial Advisory:

  • Provide financial advice and recommendations to management or clients for strategic financial planning.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • QuickBooks experience is plus
  • Familiar with US income tax is plus
  • Any past experience with US CPA firm will be helpful  
  • Minimum 2 year experience
  • At least Bachelors degree
