Job Summary

As the Sr. Manager / Head of Budget and Grants, you will be responsible and accountable for review of Annual Budgets and Disbursements and to supervise other staff members in their assignments to ensure successful delivery of organizational objectives.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing Budget portfolio of entities within Pakistan including Jamati Institutions, Legal Entities and Service companies and ensuring completion of their annual and supplementary budget cycle(s) as per plan.
  • Managing the grant disbursements to institutions and its routine reconciliation(s).
  • Due-diligence of budgets, fund raising, major investments, CAPEX, and new programme proposals submitted by the Institutions and making recommendations to the Institutions and DJI.
  • Attending meetings of the GRB Board, Audit Committees of legal entities, as and when required.
  • Developing and maintaining contacts with portfolio members, external stakeholders and departments on an ongoing basis, to build and enhance relationships and trust.
  • Determining funding allocations and defending budget recommendations among various stakeholders.
  • Leading key financial planning activities including accounting, and financial controls, reporting and analysis and implementation of financial software.
  • Monitoring expenditures and forecasting financial requirements via analysis of monthly / quarterly cash requests.
  • Evaluating and recommending improvements in Internal Control, Policies, Regulatory Compliance and Risk management in accordance with best practices.
  • Liaising with and managing the TKNs and Subject Matter Expert, whenever they are recruited for assignments.

Required Skills

Eligibility:

  • An CA/ACCA/ CIMA /ICMA/ MBA in relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 07 years of relevant experience, working with development sector will be an added advantage.
  • Has a flexible schedule to accommodate a non-traditional work-load, including working evenings and/or weekends.
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all timelines and commitments.
  • Well-versed with MS-Excel, MS-Word, Power BI and MS-PowerPoint; Proficiency in data analysis and statistical forecasting.
  • Ability to converse and write effectively in English, especially report writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills to be able to build excellent working relations with stakeholders and team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to details.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to delegate appropriately.

The package would be commensurate with qualification, experience and market.
