Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior HR Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, driving employee engagement, and contributing to the strategic growth of the organization. As a Senior HR Officer, you will oversee various HR operations, mentor junior staff, and act as a trusted advisor to management and employees alike.
Role and Responsibilities:
HR Strategy and Planning:
- Support the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to improve employee productivity and satisfaction.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
Employee Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and grievances.
- Facilitate conflict resolution and maintain a positive work environment.
Performance Management:
- Oversee performance appraisal processes and guide managers in setting goals and providing feedback.
- Identify and address performance improvement needs.
Policy Development and Compliance:
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Ensure all HR practices align with company standards and legal requirements.
Learning and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development initiatives.
- Support career planning and succession planning efforts.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Oversee payroll processing, employee benefits administration, and compensation reviews.
- Benchmark compensation practices to maintain market competitiveness.
HR Systems and Reporting:
- Maintain HR records and utilize HR systems to manage data effectively.
- Generate reports on HR metrics for management review.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior HR staff, fostering professional growth.
- Promote teamwork and collaboration within the HR department.
Required Skills
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional/Senior Certified Professional).
- PHR/SPHR (Professional in Human Resources/Senior Professional in Human Resources).
- CIPD Level 5/7 (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
Experience:
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in human resources, including at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory HR role.
- Experience in handling recruitment, employee relations, policy development, and performance management.
- Exposure to strategic HR planning is a plus.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of labor laws and compliance regulations.
- Familiarity with HR management systems (HRIS) and HR-related software tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
