Job Summary

The Senior Communication Officer will play a key role in supporting and developing communication material and executing the communication plans. This position is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in communications and marketing, who is passionate about social and community development and eager to contribute to a dynamic team.

 Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating and managing content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, websites, and promotional materials.

  • Write and edit press releases, blog posts, and reports that align with the organization’s messaging and objectives.

  • Manage and monitor the social media accounts, including content planning, posting, and engagement with followers.

  • Assist in organizing and promoting events, workshops, and community outreach initiatives.

  • Manage and execute digital marketing campaigns across various platforms.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve future communication efforts.

  • Work closely with the department head and other team members to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

  • Coordinate with different departments to gather content, updates, and news to be
    communicated internally and externally.

  • Coordinate with vendors, designers, and printers to produce communication materials and ensure they meet the organization’s standards and deadlines.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a communications role, preferably within a social or not-for-profit organization.

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.

  • Experience managing digital platforms and social media channels.

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse
    stakeholders.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
