Job Summary
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Security Supervisor for Aga Khan Hospital, Gilgit – Gilgit Region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exercise effective supervision of all guards in his area of responsibility and ensure that the staffs carry out their duties effectively
- Assist security guards on public dealing/confrontation and help them when required
- Periodically checking of guards to ensure alertness and vigilance
- Prime responsibility to provide security assistance to own staff, visitors, patients, and their attendants when called for.
- Immediately reporting to Manager Security about any incident, fire, accident, and theft etc
- Keep the Manager Security inform about all security matters within his jurisdiction
- Remain vigilant and ensure that no unauthorized person comes in his area of responsibility
- Will carry out investigation of incident taking place when directed by Manager Security
- Must perform any other security duty when assigned by his senior
- To ensure that all security apparatus is fully functional
Required Skills
Education, Experience & Competencies
- Matric qualification
- Retired Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) - N/ Subedar/ Subedar
- Age should be less than 50 years till the date of interview
- Preferably should be from Infantry/ Armor/Artillery group
- No red ink entry in conduct sheet
- Medical category- ‘A’
- Retired after completion of colorful service
- Excellent knowledge of security dimension of Pakistan
- Good analytical skills and stable/calm demeanor
- Demonstrates capacity to work under pressure/stress
- Sufficient personal character to create a compliant security environment with international and national staffs
- Demonstrates capacity to work in a team and work in a collaborative manner with the rest of the project team
- Ability to manage third party security contracts
- Ability to handle difficult and even dangerous situations rationally and with a cool head
- Fluency in both written and oral Urdu is essential
- Ability to effectively use general office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) use other relevant computer programs and reports
- Excellent understanding of communication equipment usage
