Role and Responsibilities:

Procurement of Goods and Services:

  • Responsible for sourcing, selecting, and purchasing products or services required by the organization.

Vendor Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely procurement to avoid stockouts.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and procurement activities.

Cost Control:

  • Ensure purchases are within the allocated budget.
  • Look for opportunities to reduce costs without compromising on quality.

Purchase Order Management:

  • Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders.
  • Ensure that deliveries are made on time and follow up on delayed shipments.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities and inventory status for management.

Market Research:

  • Stay updated with market trends, new suppliers, and pricing.
