Job Summary:

The Protocol Officer is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of protocol activities for Company. This role ensures that official events and engagements are conducted with the appropriate level of decorum, adhering to cultural and diplomatic standards. The Protocol Officer will liaise with government officials, foreign dignitaries, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth interactions and events.

Key Responsibilities:

Protocol Management:

  • Develop and implement protocol policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all events, meetings, and official functions adhere to established protocol standards.
  • Advise senior management on matters of protocol and etiquette.

Event Coordination:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute official ceremonies, receptions, and events.
  • Manage logistics for high-level visits, including transportation, accommodation, and security arrangements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.

Liaison Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for foreign dignitaries, government officials, and VIPs.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between visiting delegations and the organization.
  • Ensure smooth and respectful interactions between the organization and external entities.

Documentation and Records:

  • Maintain accurate records of official events, visits, and protocol-related activities.
  • Prepare and distribute briefing materials, itineraries, and other relevant documents.
  • Manage invitations, RSVPs, and follow-up communications for official events.

Cultural Sensitivity:

  • Stay informed about cultural and diplomatic practices to ensure appropriate conduct.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on protocol and etiquette.
  • Address and resolve any cultural or protocol-related issues that arise.

Other Duties:

  • Support the organization’s leadership in developing and maintaining positive relationships with external partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

 

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of [1] years of experience in a protocol or diplomatic role.
