Job Summary
The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat Pakistan requires Procurement Officers for its Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad Offices. The Procurement Officer will help optimize the procurement processes and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships to secure the best value for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential suppliers, conduct negotiations, and manage supplier relationships.
- Evaluate supplier performance, quality, and reliability to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor contract performance and address any deviations or issues.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and manage procurement budgets.
- Monitor spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute to financial goals.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
- Continuously assess and improve procurement processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills
Requirements
- At least a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant field. Master's degree will be a plus.
- At least three to fours years of experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
- Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
