Job Summary
The Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is seeking a seasoned and Dynamic Nursing Assistant for its Garden Al Zehra & Karimabad Facilities in Karachi Region.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct household visits with research team
- Facilitate in data collection and screening of study population
- Compile study data following ethical principles and study protocol
- Maintain log sheets to keep track of field activities
- Attend debriefing session with line manager on periodic basis
- Address missing data by contacting participants as per protocol
- Conduct household visits to provide home health services to elderly patients
- Facilitate project nurses during home visits in carrying out services
- Update data and records of patients visited on daily basis
- Ensure all records are updated in its completeness
- Assist nurses in coordinating daily plan of home visits
- Provide nursing care under supervision of RNs and ensure relevant documentation
- Monitor and record patient’s vital signs and inform RN
- Attend training sessions as and when called by managers
Required Skills
Qualification & Experience:
- Matriculation / Intermediate, relevant diploma/completion of training course for Health Care Assistant at NES, AKUH or any other recognized institute
- Certification in first aid/Heart Saver
- Previous one year of experience in a recognized institute as nurse assistant
- Ability to remain tactful, patient and calm in stressful situations
- Having good interpersonal skills
- Be courteous and polite to patients and their families
- Concentrate on own performance deliverables
- Competent in taking all vital signs of the patient and performing hygiene skills for the patient independently
- Knowledge of early warning signs and basic disease and their symptoms
