Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified MEP Site Engineer with strong expertise in electrical and plumbing systems to oversee, manage, and supervise MEP installations and maintenance on-site. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the technical execution of electrical and plumbing works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Electrical Systems Supervision
- Review electrical designs and technical specifications to ensure all electrical systems (e.g., lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems) align with project requirements and local regulations.
- Supervise the installation and testing of electrical systems, including circuit installation, lighting systems, power distribution panels, backup power systems (generators and UPS), cabling, and ELV systems (ICT, PA, CCTV, etc.).
- Possess in-depth knowledge of electrical testing tools (e.g., megger, multimeters) to diagnose faults and issues with existing electrical systems, ensuring timely resolution.
- Prepare load schedules, cable size calculations, manuals, megger reports, emergency backup calculations (solar/GENSET), ICT equipment schedules, and single-line diagrams.
- Coordinate with contractors and designers to incorporate design changes in electrical layouts and quantities based on client requirements and site conditions.
- Evaluate tender/IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and equipment schedules for material takeoffs.
Plumbing Systems Supervision
- Plumbing System Oversight: Supervise the installation of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and heating equipment (ACs/heaters), ensuring compliance with design documents and local regulations.
- System Testing & Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of plumbing systems to verify performance and ensure proper installation (e.g., pressure testing, flow rate checks, leak detection).
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Manage plumbing system performance issues, including leakages, pressure problems, and blockages, ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution.
Site Coordination & Management
- Contractor Coordination: Supervise electrical and plumbing contractors, ensuring work is completed according to schedule while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Work Schedule Management: Monitor and track the progress of electrical and plumbing installations, making adjustments to schedules and resources as required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Progress Reporting: Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports on electrical and plumbing systems, highlighting delays, issues, or deviations.
- As-Built Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of all electrical and plumbing installations for final handover and operation.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Maintain detailed inspection, testing, and quality check records to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards.
Required Skills
Skills and Qualification:
- The ideal candidate must hold a BSc in Electrical Engineering and have a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
