Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Medical Officer for Basic Health Centre, Chatorkhand, District Ghizer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Regular check-up of patients including general patients and provide proper treatment according to AKHS, P standards,
  • To motivate nursing staff in secondary care unit to prove excellent service to the patient and increase service utilization in the unit
  • Availability 24/7 in facility to provide regular and emergency services
  • Regular meeting with unit team to supervise unit performance, income and expenditure 
  • Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Skills

Required Skills Education, Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum MBBS with valid PMDC license 
  • At least 6 months relevant experience and practical skills of the job other than 1 year house job
  • Should have an aptitude of working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Team working skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good time management
  • Good communication and team building skills
