We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will inspire and challenge students to excel in mathematics, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. This position involves planning and delivering engaging lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
Role and Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver lessons that align with the curriculum and learning objectives.
Teach mathematical concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, or statistics, depending on the grade level.
Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects.
Provide timely feedback and support to help students improve and succeed.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the maturity and interests of the students.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and school initiatives.
Participate in professional development activities and stay current with developments in mathematics education.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
Knowledge of state or national standards (e.g., Common Core, IB, AP).
Ability to integrate real-world applications into math lessons.
Strong classroom management abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred for some positions).
Valid state teaching license or certification in Mathematics (or working toward certification, depending on the role).
Additional endorsements (e.g., for secondary education, gifted education, or special education) may be a plus.
Prior teaching experience is highly preferred (student teaching, internships, or full-time teaching
Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Strong understanding of mathematical concepts across a range of topics (algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, etc.).
Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way.
Classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive, respectful learning environment.
Proficiency with technology and digital tools used in education (e.g., smartboards, learning management systems like Google Classroom, Canvas, etc.).
Lesson planning and assessment design aligned with curriculum goals.
