Job Summary

Job Role / Responsibilities:

Specifically, you will be responsible to;

  • Reviewing financial Reports to be sent to international and domestic granting agencies.
  • Provide budgetary approval for payment vouchers as per the approved authority matrix within specified timelines.
  • Review purchase requisition, personnel requisitions and travel requests as per approved budgets. 
  • Prepare and review budgets to be submitted to donor agencies.
  • Meeting Principal Investigators on a regular basis to discuss grant project financials.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
  • Ensure grant compliance in the light of University and grating agency protocols.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
  • Prepare different reports, memos such as Grant Variance Reports, Newsletters and other reporting etc.
  • Preparing financial Reports to be sent to international and domestic granting agencies.

Required Skills

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

  • Qualified CA/ACMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification in a related area.
  • Professional Certification in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Should be able to operate MS Office.
  • Should have knowledge of Accounting Principles and IAS.
  • Possess good Analytical Skills.
  • Should be able to demonstrate Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
  • Should be fast learner, team worker and motivated.
  • Effective time management.
