Job Summary

The Manager Budgeting & Reporting, as part of the finance team, will work in close coordination with all departments. The incumbent will be required to present financial & budget reports to board members, executives, and auditors. Hands-on experience working on ERP systems is required. The position entails traveling within Pakistan. The position will report to the Senior Advisor.

Specific Responsibilities

  • To assist the Senior Advisor in day-to-day work.
  • The planning & budgeting exercise includes collecting data related to goals and targets setting, budget development at the grassroots level, and seeking proper approval from the committees for global compilation.
  • Review the budget proposals received from different boards, departments, and regions in detail. Seek clarification/details where it is required.
  • Prepare proper allocation of the budgets between the Institutions / Regions as per the guidelines received from DJI / GRB.
  • Liaise with the regions to ensure adequate utilization of the resources and Imamat / CFR funding.
  • Keeping track of the head office and regional expenses with minimum over / underruns observed in the budget utilization. 

Reporting:

  • Developing a dashboard for key stakeholders and summarizing the periodic financial performance of the Institutions.
  • Preparing monthly Budget Variance Report (BVR) for all stakeholders.
  • Seeking necessary information for monthly financial cash requests from all Boards / Regions for submission to GRB.
  • Ensure the timely submission of funding requests to GRB (Jamati Institutions, FEAP, SEDP).
  • Responding to the GRB queries regarding fund request/budget utilization and making any information they may require available.
  • Coordinating with the Institutions/regions for timely receipt of non-financial data, including budget target updates.
  • Compiling, and developing quarterly and mid-year submissions of different reports to GRB after review and input from the key stakeholders.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills

Qualification: ACCA, ACMA, ACA, or MBA in Finance Experience: 4 to 5 Years of relevant work experience.

Skills and Attitudes

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a command of English and Urdu.
  • Demonstrated experience of working with ERP and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong management capability with sound knowledge in financial analysis, treasury management, reporting, compliance audit and risk management.
  • Ability to work with various internal and external stakeholders and with volunteers.
  • Analytical and report writing skills
  • Attention to detail while retaining a flexible problem-solving and decision-making approach.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the capacity to manage concurrent priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including expertise in data analysis, financial modelling, pivot tables and visualization tools (charts & graphs) to support budgeting/planning processes and reporting analysis.

Work Schedule

  • Willingness to work beyond regular working hours.
