Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for a competent Lady Medical Officer based in Gilgit.

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct outreach activities in project-assigned areas
  • Regular check-ups of  patients including  general patients and provide proper treatment according to AKHS, P standards,
  • To motivate nursing staff to provide excellent service to the patient and increase service utilization
  • Regular meetings with the unit team to supervise unit performance, income, and expenditure  
  • Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • To conduct QA visits to evaluate HCP skills using a standardized tool. If protocols are not followed, the outreach doctor provides guidance for improvement.

Required Skills

Education, Experience & Competencies

  • MBBS with valid PMDC license.
  • 2 years of relevant experience and practical skills of her job other than house job.
  • Should have an aptitude for working in a multidisciplinary team

  • Good communication and team-building skills
