Job Summary
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Lady Health Visitor based in Field Office – Hunza-Nagar, Aliabad, District Hunza.
Role and Responsibilities
- Monthly planning and implement field activities.
- Ensure proper registration of children < 5>
- Identify children with stunting, growth faltering, SAM and MAM and mothers with underweight and ensure provision of LNS as per protocols.
- Maintain updated records of LNS and other suppliers
- Regular follow up of defaulter children as per CASI protocols
- Ensure provision of supplements to each identified and educate on proper use.
- Coordination with LHWS, collect reports and distribute supplements
- Review reports and provide feedback
- Conduct training for LHWS and community-based workers and mothers
- Having proper knowledge of MNCH
- Maintain attendants register at the designated unit
- Arrange nutrition education session and train mother
Meetings:
- Arrange meetings with members of HNSG, share progress and update plans and issues
- Arrange meetings with LHWS on monthly bases
- Meeting with local councils and brief plan and progress
- Meeting with field team and sharing plans and reports.
- Ensure that documentation related to project are maintained
Record keeping and reports:
- Maintain all project related data
- Ensure timely entries in the system
- Prepare reports timely and share with regional office
- Update village wise data and share with concerns
Required Skills
Education, Experience & Competencies
- LHV Diploma from any recognized nursing institution
- 2 years of experience in a reputable institution
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrate polite and courteous behaviour at all times
