Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced IT Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for inspiring students. As an IT Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and effective training sessions on a range of IT topics, from fundamental computer skills to advanced programming, data analysis, networking, and cybersecurity, depending on the curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver course material, lectures, assignments, and hands-on projects on IT topics such as programming, database management, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Conduct engaging and interactive classroom sessions that cater to a diverse group of students with varying levels of proficiency.
  • Design and implement lesson plans that meet learning objectives and address the needs of students at all skill levels.
  • Provide individual support and mentorship to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in IT to ensure course content is current and relevant.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and guide them in improving their technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with the academic team to continually improve course content and delivery methods.
  • Prepare students for certifications, industry exams, and real-world IT applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, or AWS) are a plus.
  • Proven experience teaching or training in the field of information technology.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, networking, database management, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for learners with varying backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Patience, dedication, and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students.
  • Technical Proficiency

  • Understanding of computer fundamentals, such as hardware, software, operating systems, and networks.

    • Familiarity with productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
    • Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS) and digital design.
    • Knowledge of internet safety and digital citizenship principles.
  • Teaching and Classroom Management

    • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that are age-appropriate and relevant.
    • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a productive and positive learning environment.
    • Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and levels.
    • Skills in creating and grading assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication to explain concepts clearly.
    • Patience and empathy when working with young students who may struggle with IT concepts.
