Job Summary

The ICT/Computer Teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging, supportive, and dynamic learning environment that fosters students' digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and creativity. The teacher will design and deliver lessons that integrate technology in a meaningful way, encouraging students to explore, create, and apply their knowledge in real-world contexts. The teacher will also provide hands-on opportunities for students to develop essential skills for the digital age.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver age-appropriate ICT lessons that enhance students' digital literacy and technical skills.
  • Facilitate hands-on learning activities that engage students in coding, web development, multimedia creation, and other computer-based tasks.
  • Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing personalized feedback and adjusting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Promote problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity through technology-integrated projects and group activities.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged to explore technology.
  • Communicate effectively with parents to provide updates on students’ progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  •  Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay updated with current educational technologies and methods to continually improve teaching strategies.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
  •  At least 2-3 years of experience teaching ICT or computer science at the primary and secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of various programming languages, software tools, and digital platforms.
  • Ability to design and implement hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences.
  •  Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for teaching and helping students develop essential digital skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with current ICT curricula and educational technologies.
  • Ability to foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that promotes creativity and critical thinking.
