Job Summary

Job Role / Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, the Manager (HR Metrics and Reporting) will be a key resource in help shaping and implementing the division’s strategic people initiatives. This role demands a deep understanding of HR practices and the ability to align HR strategies with overall business objectives. The position involves collaborating with HR leadership and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to establish and monitor divisional strategic goals, coordinating with key HR leads, and developing a monthly reporting mechanism within the division including documenting domain’s processes and procedures. Additionally, this role will be crucial in developing HR board papers and conducting high-impact research to support strategic HR initiatives for management’s effective decision making.

You will be specifically responsible for;

  • Develop and facilitate in implementing long-term strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Facilitate the HR strategic planning process, ensuring that comprehensive strategies and plans are developed, approved, and effectively communicated to the stake holders.
  • Align HR strategic priorities with the overall priorities and vision of the University
  • Monitor goals/ plans throughout the year and makes recommendations to keep approved activities on track. Support and suggest improvements.
  • Actively support in reporting monthly strategic goals and performance to the Director including taking corrective actions and way forward.
  • Work with the HR leaders, participating in the development, revision, interpretation, and execution of human resources policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Lead key HR cross functional projects as assigned by the Director. Provide advice and counsel on complex human resources matters to the Director and other senior executives.
  • Identify cross functional HR issues and provide leadership in developing and implementing solutions
  • Support in developing meeting material for the weekly HR Senior Leadership Team meetings.
  • Ensure best practices are followed to analyse data and make recommendations for developments of strategies.
  • Oversee the data analytical activities to ensure accuracy, protection and presentation of data.
  • Evaluate, manage and reconcile data with an emphasis on accurate interpretation in order to identify potential issues and provide solutions.
  • Ensure data governance across division, develop domain’s related processes and procedures
  •  Coordination in the HR compliance matters and active support to the larger HR teams in HR related audits and analyses
  • Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
  •  Ensure the integrity and discipline of the department is maintained for all activities
  •  Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Required Skills

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

  • 4 Years’ Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Human Resources, Economics, Finance, or another field that uses quantitative analysis
  • At least 6-7 years’ experience collaborating on projects involving multiple teams, managing relationships with stakeholders, and presenting to executive audiences, of which at least 4 years in leading strategic planning and HR reporting in large, multi-national firms.
  • Ability to align HR strategies with overall business objectives and anticipate future challenges.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Deep understanding of HR practices, policies, and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively. Solid understanding of people metrics and KPIs with the ability to explain the data insights to business and HR partners.
  •  Capability to manage multiple HR initiatives and ensure timely delivery of strategic goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with HR leadership, CoEs, and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly present ideas, strategies, and reports to various audiences, including senior management/ board.
  • Proficiency in conducting high-impact research to support HR strategy development.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Precision in monitoring and reporting on strategic goals, ensuring accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Exhibit a great level of integrity and maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Proficient in MS office suite for better reporting and analysis
