Job Summary

Job Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for leading and managing the HR department to ensure effective and efficient HR operations. This role includes overseeing the recruitment process, employee relations, performance management, compliance with employment laws, and implementing HR strategies that support the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Staffing:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Oversee the full recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct investigations and address employee grievances and disciplinary actions.

Performance Management:

  • Implement and manage performance appraisal systems.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance management and employee development.
  • Identify training and development needs and organize appropriate programs.

Compliance and Policies:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and manage employee records and HR documentation.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration.
  • Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Manage employee benefits programs and address any issues that arise.

HR Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide HR insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitor HR metrics and analyze data to inform decision

Required Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in human resources.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within HR.

  • Technology: Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
