Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to providing excellent service, and a positive attitude.

Role and  Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including changing linens, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities.

  • Clean and maintain public areas, such as hallways, restrooms, lobbies, and elevators.

  • Ensure all assigned rooms and areas are cleaned according to company standards and policies.

  • Restock housekeeping carts with necessary supplies, such as towels, toiletries, and cleaning products.

  • Respond to guest requests for additional items or services in a timely and courteous manner.

  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor or management.

  • Follow proper cleaning and safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment.

  • Ensure that lost and found items are reported and stored according to company policies.

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with guests and team members.

  • Adhere to company dress code and personal hygiene standards.

  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects (up to 25 lbs).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Stamina:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25-30 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning surfaces.

Attention to Detail:

  • Strong focus on cleanliness and organization.

  • Ability to spot areas needing attention and address them promptly.

Time Management:

  • Ability to manage time effectively and clean rooms and areas in a timely manner.

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently.

Communication Skills:

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to interact professionally and politely with guests and team members.

Safety Awareness:

  • Understanding of cleaning chemicals and proper safety procedures.

  • Adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of equipment and chemicals.

Reliability and Dependability:

  • Punctual and dependable to ensure the consistent upkeep of cleanliness standards.

  • Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Flexibility:

  • Willingness to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules or job assignments.

Personal Hygiene and Appearance:

  • Professional and clean appearance.

  • Adherence to company dress code.
