Job Summary

Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring, designing, developing, and leading the operational aspects of managing crucial information for  Institutions. S/he will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the activities of organizations that analyze, design, develop, implement, operate, and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks, and information systems. S/he will be required to format, compile, and develop statistical data and reports for presenting, analyzing, and decision-making purposes. S/he will also be responsible for strategic and tactical planning, as well as identifying, selecting, and deploying the appropriate technology resources that will support Institutional goals and objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supervise information and data management tools with an aim to consolidate the data from various field activities and programs and present the analytical reports to the senior management and Office Bearers of Institutions for effective planning.

  • Provide leadership in data gathering and data analysis with the strategic vision of a long-term plan to consolidate the data bank of entire activities under one database.

  • Ensure collaboration with the  Boards, Regional, and sub-committees of Institutions on the short and long-term management information and reporting needs in the areas of social governance,  development, and institutional strengthening.

  • Conducting and coordinating levels of surveys (like Quality of Life surveys) and updating existing databases periodically.

  • Supervise the design and use of managing databases and reports, including rigorous data analysis.

  • Analyze information across institutions and programs to help the institution formulate strategies and policies.

  • Develops MIS documentation to allow for smooth operations and easy system maintenance.

  • Recruit and supervise MIS personnel and oversee their professional development and training.

  • Support the Poverty team in designing and managing household data and deploy data analytics tools to facilitate decision-making.

  • Creates, and documents project work plans, including scope, schedule, and cost, and track and report progress as appropriate.

  • Work with MIS Governance Committee for periodical tasks, develop yearly plans and KPIs of the department, and report back to the committee with periodical updates.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Applicant must have a Master’s Degree in MIS or Computer Science or MBA specializing in MIS from a reputable institution, with an overall 7 to 10 years of experience in systems analysis, data administration, software engineering, network design, or computer programming, including supervisory experience.

  • S/he must have good project management skills and the ability to pay attention to the qualitative and quantitative aspects of evaluation.

  • Candidates having working knowledge in Software Engineering / Automation preferably in Microsoft .Net and/or Python and working with SQL or NoSQL databases will be given added advantage for this role.

  • S/he must have a strong command of Microsoft Office Suit; especially Advanced Excel for devising complex reports generating formulas.

  • S/he must have good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in teams.

This position offers competitive market-based remuneration with attractive benefits. Compensation will be commensurate with qualification and experience and may not be a limiting factor for the right candidate.
