Job Summary:

The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring financial stability, compliance, and strategic planning. This role will involve managing the financial affairs,  developing financial strategies, preparing financial reports, and providing financial advice to directors and support team.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the organization’s financial health by monitoring cash flow, financial transactions, and expenditures.
  • Preparation and presentation of   monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with appliable accounting framework.
  •  Strategic Planning & Analysis:
  • Provide insights and recommendations to Directors based on financial analysis to support decision-making and business strategy.
  • Drive the development of the company’s financial strategies, goals, and KPIs.
  • Conduct profitability analysis.
  • Compliance & Governance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and  regulations, tax laws, sales tax etc and industry standards and preparation and filing of relevant returns as required on timely basis
  • Coordinate financial and quality audits. 
  • Implement sound internal controls system and risk management processes for efficient and effective transactions and to safeguard Company’s assets.
  •  Treasury Management
  • Fund managements for cash receiving and payments.
  • Recovery monitoring from customers -trade debts and other receivable.
  • Placement of funds in beneficial avenues such as bank deposits, mutual funds government securities for maximization of profits and  saving of taxes.  
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and building and developing of professional  finance team, fostering and creating a high-performance culture.
  •  Provide ongoing training and development opportunities and in respect of updating relevant laws and regulations to finance and other department  team members.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and professional certification like CA, ACCA, CPA or CFA preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior finance role, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking, leadership, and driving financial success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
