Job Summary
Fitter/ Welder required for a Plastic Manufacturing company, who can fit, assemble and weld metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment.
Should have relevant experience in a manufacturing firm.
Role and Responsibilities:
Fabrication and Assembly:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using welding techniques.
- Fit and weld parts to form complete units or sub-units following specifications.
Welding:
- Perform various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding.
- Ensure welds meet quality standards and are free of defects.
- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
