Roles and Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance and systems at AKES Pakistan’s 155+ properties across Gilgit, Chitral, and Sindh, including schools, hostels, offices, and faculty housing.
Manage AKESP’s property portfolio, focusing on budgeting, team management, vendor relations, sustainability practices, and energy management.
Develop strategies and SOPs for property maintenance in collaboration with the AKESP SMT, Operation Managers, and Regional Heads.
Conduct contract negotiations for maintenance services and ensure all necessary permits are in place.
Attend inspections and oversee annual audits.
Work with the Safety and Security Manager to develop emergency plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness for emergency situations.
Deploy regular preventative maintenance inspections and manage major repairs and maintenance capital projects.
Oversee emergency fixes such as roofs, HVAC, fire alarms, and CCTV systems.
Implement sustainability initiatives focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmentally friendly practices.
Lead a team of supervisors, regional managers, and core maintenance staff.
Approve estimates for repairs, annual maintenance contracts, and purchase orders.
Direct both 3rd Party and In-House Preventative Maintenance Plans.
Work closely with the Purchasing and Operations teams to manage vendor contracts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
A Master's degree in Facility Management or Business Administration would be a plus.
The candidate should have at least 7 years of experience managing a multi-site property portfolio.
Significant experience in a senior management role in a relevant field is required.
