Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and have a deep understanding of English language and literature. The English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to students, fostering a love of reading and writing, and helping students develop strong communication skills. This role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to student success.

Role and  Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons that meet curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Teach a range of topics, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and literature analysis.
  • Develop lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods to engage students in active learning.
  • Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and exams, providing constructive feedback.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Support students in developing strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Encourage critical thinking and discussion around literature and language topics.
  • Prepare students for standardized tests and exams, as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies, materials, and resources.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about students’ progress and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of English language, literature, and composition.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their language and literary skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with a typical school schedule.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work for meetings, parent-teacher conferences, or extracurricular activities.
