Educator Culture and Ethics will report to the Manager – Children Development and he/she will be responsible for the following tasks:
Academics:
Contribute towards enhancing the curricular understanding of the H. TEs, LCs, primary Talim teachers, and other academic staff through training programs and other continuing professional development processes.
Design a strategy to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the academic programs on the professional development of the H. TEs, LCs, and primary Talim teachers.
Design formative and summative assessment frameworks and support H. TEs and teachers to implement these frameworks.
Design programs for parents and other stakeholders for their engagement in RE in collaboration with the regional team and ensure their proper implementation in the regions.
Plan periodic REC visits to observe classrooms across Pakistan and provide mentoring to support the H. TEs and primary teachers in improving their practices.
Develop Lesson plans for the regular and multigrade classes.
Develop supplementary material and teaching aids for effectively implementing the Talim Curriculum.
Translate the primary Talim Curriculum books and other teaching-learning resources into Urdu.
Support the regional team in developing REC improvement plans and develop strategies to monitor the progress.
Provide academic support to the regional team in the RE repositioning plan implementation in RECs.
Perform any additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Access data and reporting:
Review quarterly access data of each region consolidated by the MIS unit and suggest action plans to improve access.
Prepare quarterly progress reports consisting of access and progress of children.
Prepare reports for teachers, training, and other academic programs.
Implement quality assurance processes with the help of relevant stakeholders.
Education:
Master’s degree in Education or Social Sciences OR Applicants with master’s degree in other fields and sound experience working with the REC system
Experience:
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional educational practitioner with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a secular context or the REC system
Skills and Attributes:
Familiarity with and empathy for the including cultural and geographical diversity
Understanding of the RE system and procedures
Good interpersonal skills in dealing with educators, teachers, parents, children, and other volunteers
Ability to manage a diverse group of professional and volunteer staff
Promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration
Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Well-organized, self-motivated, able to multitask, pay attention to detail, and have a “can do attitude
Be able to work independently with a minimum level of supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English and Urdu languages
Comfort in working with computing, information, and communication technology
A willingness to travel from time to time across the country
Willing to work in the evenings and on weekends
Ability to be discreet, sensitive, and objective in handling departmental affairs
