Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Development (ECD) Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the holistic development of young children. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to ensure each child’s success.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to the needs of children aged [insert age range].
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
  • Monitor and assess children's development, maintaining accurate records and providing regular progress reports to parents/guardians.
  • Organize interactive and engaging activities, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, storytelling, and outdoor play.
  • Promote positive behavior management techniques and ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Collaborate with parents/guardians to support children’s individual needs and development goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an ECD Teacher or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity, patience, and a passion for working with young children.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards for young learners.

 

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in education or child care are a plus.

Professional Experience:

  • Proven experience as an ECD Teacher or working with young children in a formal setting.
  • Experience in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate learning activities.

Other Requirements:

  • Knowledge of early learning frameworks or curriculums (e.g., Montessori, etc.).
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with technology or digital tools for early childhood education is a bonus.
  • A clear background check and health clearance, as required by local regulations.
