Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and passengers safely and efficiently to their destinations. This role requires adherence to all traffic laws and regulations, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a company vehicle to transport goods or passengers to specified locations.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured and handled properly.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Required Skills

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a similar role.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic laws.

Licensing and Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required for certain positions.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent driving skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform routine inspections.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read maps and follow GPS directions.
• Proficient in using communication devices and apps (e.g., smartphones, GPS).
• Basic math skills for calculating routes, mileage, and fuel consumption.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 lbs].
• Capable of sitting for extended periods while driving.
• Good physical condition to handle loading and unloading tasks.
