Job Summary

Karakorum Area Development Organization (KADO) is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to
sustainable development, community empowerment, and innovative solutions for the socioeconomic
upliftment of the people.

We are currently seeking a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated professional to join our team
as Deputy Chief Finance Officer (DCFO). The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring
financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, strategic financial planning, and efficient financial
management across the organization.

Purpose of the Position

The Deputy Chief Finance Officer (DCFO) will support the effective financial management and
sustainability of the organization. This role entails oversight of financial planning, budgeting,
reporting, and compliance functions, with the aim of maintaining sound fiscal discipline and
transparency. The DCFO will work closely with CFO, internal departments and external stakeholders
and will report directly to the CEO.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Monitor and manage day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support audit processes and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and donor requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and internal controls.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by the CEO.
  • Supervise finance staff as assigned and provide capacity building and guidance.
  • Liaise with banks, vendors, partners, and other financial institutions as required.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Reporting and Supervision

The Deputy Chief Finance Officer will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will
work closely with other department heads and program teams.

 

 

Required Skills

Qualifications and Experience

  • Masters’ degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CA, ICMA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and audits.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
