Job Summary
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Data & M&E Specialist for Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan – Gilgit Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust data management system that ensures efficient, accurate, and secure data collection, storage, and retrieval across the program.
- Establish procedures for regular data quality checks, including accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data collected by field teams and partners.
- Collaborate in designing desk and field monitoring frameworks, including monitoring schedules, reporting structures, and data flow processes
- Conduct remote monitoring of program activities using various digital tools, ensuring data and reports align with field realities and program objectives.
- Plan and conduct regular field monitoring visits to verify data accuracy, assess program progress, and gather qualitative insights from program beneficiaries and stakeholders.
- Compile, analyze, and present data from multiple sources to generate monthly reports that offer insights into program performance and highlight key trends.
- Use data insights to recommend adjustments in program implementation to address areas of improvement or potential challenges.
- Prepare presentations that summarize program progress, challenges, and lessons learned, tailored for both internal team reviews and external stakeholders.
- Conduct field visits to measure program performance against key performance indicators and outcomes.
- Mentor and train field teams on standardized data collection and validation techniques to ensure consistent, high-quality data.
- Design and implement tools for monitoring data collection, ensuring they align with program objectives and requirements.
- Review and update the M&E framework in alignment with program objectives and donor requirements, ensuring all key indicators are measurable and relevant.
- Develop mechanisms for feedback collection and integrate lessons learned into program planning and implementation.
- Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
Education, Experience & Competencies
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in development studies, statistics/biostatistics or data management, etc.
- 2-3 years of experience in developing data collection systems, designing of data tools, data management, analysis, and reporting, preferably in public health programs, including immunization and nutrition programs
- Proven experience in designing M & E frameworks for community based public health interventions. Experience of working with an international organization in a similar field would be an added advantage.
- Proficient in data collection, cleaning, validation, analysis, management, and reporting, including the use of key programs such as advanced MS Excel, SPSS, KoboCollect and Stata.
- Good written and verbal communication with strong skills of report writing.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details and organizational skills
- Good people management skills for supervision and mentoring of team.
- Ability to travel to project sites for field training and data validation.
