Job Summary

To support our mission of delivering high quality AI services to revolutionalize the way American transportation authorities manage and maintain US road infrastructure, we're seeking a motivated Data Engineer to join our team at Transconomy. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in machine learning concepts and programming, with a passion for developing innovative solutions in the transportation industry. You should be eager to collaborate with a dynamic AI team, and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to support various data processing requirements.
• Develop and implement orchestration pipelines for scheduling and monitoring data workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy machine learning models into production environments.
• Optimize and scale data infrastructure to handle growing volumes of data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and recommend improvements to our data infrastructure.

Required Skills

Skills and Qulification:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2-3 years of experience in data engineering roles and building large pipelines for AI applications.
• Proficiency in AWS cloud services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, Sagemaker, etc.
• Strong programming skills in Python are required.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, MLflow, etc.
• Good command on relational databases and geodatabases is required. Experience working with Data Warehousing is a plus.
• Experience working with Pytorch, Tensorflow, OpenCV, Numpy, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and Matplotlib is a plus.
• Should be comfortable in working cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts.
