Job Summary
Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.
Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Data Collector for District Ghizer.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Data Collector will be responsible to:
- To identify and recruit eligible participants from different field sites
- Become familiar with questionnaire tool and administer the tool to survey population
- To provide complete data of questionnaire in digital format, ensuring no missing information
- To meet the weekly participant recruitment requirement/deadline to successfully complete the sample size of the study in defined time
- Facilitate IDIs and FGDs
- Maintaining collected data in REDCap and ensure completeness
- Record qualitative data through audio recordings and field notes
- Address missing data by contacting participants as per protocol
- Communicate regularly with the research team about recruitment and data collection process
- Provide feedback and report any challenges to project team
- Submit weekly data reports on a timely basis to project team
- Support participants throughout data collection process
- To furnish feedback to the supervisor regarding field activities
- Any other task as assigned by the project team
Required Skills
Education, Experience & Competencies
- Graduate degree in any discipline
- At least one year of relevant experience in healthcare or research will be preferred but not necessary.
- A person with experience of public interaction will be preferred.
- Data Collector preferably must have prior experience of working in a project, especially in urban and rural field sites, this must include experience related to data collection strictly.
- Prior fieldwork and/or data collection experience will be preferred.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and REDCap will be preferred.
- Basic level proficiency in computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, REDCap and other relevant tools and applications
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions
- Ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills and demonstratable professional integrity
- Fresh can also apply with some relevant research experience with participants and data collection (any nursing or related knowledge will be preferred).
