Roel and Responsibilities:
Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure timely updates to internal policies and procedures for all legal entities.
Assist in the development and maintenance of compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures to align with regulatory requirements.
Support internal and external audits and assessments aimed at evaluating compliance with company policies and external regulations.
Prepare regular reports for senior management and the Board of Directors regarding compliance activities, findings, and recommendations.
Ensure that all compliance documentation is readily accessible for both internal and external audits.
Act as a liaison with external auditors, regulators, and legal advisors in matters related to compliance.
Assist the Compliance Manager in conducting periodic reviews and audits to verify adherence to laws and regulations.
Support the Compliance Manager with corporate governance principles and the submission of regulatory filings.
Provide training and guidance to employees regarding compliance matters pertinent to corporate governance.
Assist in the renewal of licenses, registrations, and other necessary certifications.
Manage compliance with withholding and reporting obligations under Income Tax, Federal and Provincial Sales Tax, Property Tax, Stamp Duty, and other applicable tax laws.
Ensure that all taxes deducted at source from salaries and vendor invoices are duly deposited into the government treasury as mandated by law.
Review of ROP for tax working and Compliances
Oversee the renewal of tax exemption certificates as they become due.
Skills and Qualification:
Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a reputable institution, with knowledge of compliance and financial management.
Proficient in English and Urdu; skilled in MS Office and internet usage.
