Job Summary

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan is looking for competent Clinical Psychologist for Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan – based in Gilgit & Chitral Region.


Role and  Responsibilities
 

  • Conduct regular consulting in-person clinics and teleconsultation
  • administer psychotherapeutic interventions and counseling to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
  • Gather and maintain patient information and records through mobile application and HMIS, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals.
  • Design individualized care plans, using a variety of treatments
  • psychological support services assess and help patients with psychological problems of all types and levels of severity, including:
    1. anxiety, including adjustment disorders, generalized anxiety states, phobias and panic attacks
    2. depression, ranging from adjustment disorders to severe clinical depression
    3. problems with personal relationships, including communication with health and social care    professionals
    4. psychosexual difficulties (such as erectile dysfunction and loss of libido)
    5. alcohol and drug-related problems
    6. personality disorder
    7. deliberate self-harm
    8. psychotic illness
    9. neuro developmental disorders
  • Provide Psychological therapy for individuals, families and groups
  • Consultation, supervision and staff support
  • Training and Development and Psycho Education of individuals and families suffering from mental illness
  • Research.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

  • Minimum BS/MSC in clinical psychology. (PGD in Clinical psychology will be preferred.)
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in dealing with all type of psychological disorders.
  • Should have an aptitude of working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Team working skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good time management
  • Good communication and team building skills
