Job Summary

Position Overview:

The primary purpose of this role is to Assist Senior auditor and Head of Audit in performing internal audit based on annual audit plan, liaison and coordinate with external parties and assist head of audit in performing ad hoc assignments.

Role and  Responsibilities:

Audit Field Work:

• Assist senior auditors and Head of Audit to prepare and perform internal audit based on annual internal audit plan.
• Review the compliance of audited unit with local statutes and regulations, and policies and procedures.
• Ensure that audit assignment are completed within stipulated in annul audit plan.
• Review the effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement in policies and procedures, and internal control systems of the bank.
• Prepare audit working papers and audit reports.
• Conduct ad-hoc assignment as required by the Head of Internal Audit Department.
• Communication with Management
• Hold meetings with the audited department to discuss the audit related mattes, audit observations and appropriate- ness of management action plan for resolution of audit observations.
• Provide recommendations to management for resolution of audit observations.
• Liaison with External Parties
• Coordinate with SBP and external, auditors during their review
• Liaise with ICFR consultants for effective and timely closure for their assignment
• Ad-hoc Assignments
• Assist Head of Internal Audit in day to day management of the department, preparation of Internal Audit and related policies, preparation of annual audit plan and information presented to higher management.
   

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance/ACCA/CA Finalist
• 5 to 8 Years of experience in internal audit/internal controls
• Knowledge of Internal Control over Financial Reporting
• Good understanding of local laws and regulations
• Good understanding of Regulatory Audits
• Good command over Microsoft office
