Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Role and  Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
  • Generate financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, etc.) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Process and verify invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents for accuracy.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for business operations.
  • Handle payroll processing and ensure timely tax filings.
  • Review financial data to identify discrepancies or trends and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing requested financial data and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing tax returns and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities.
  • Support the senior finance team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.

 

Required Skills

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Additional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) are highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as an accountant, with a minimum of [2] years in a similar role (experience level can vary depending on the position).
  • Experience in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other similar platforms).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.

Knowledge of Regulations:

    • In-depth knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
    • Understanding of payroll systems, VAT/GST, and other tax-related aspects.

Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to rectify errors and improve financial processes.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Attention to Detail:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing financial records and preparing reports.

Organizational Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
