Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage financial records, prepare reports, and perform financial analysis to support the organization's financial health. This role involves maintaining accurate records, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing budget variances and providing recommendations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies; assist with internal and external audits.
  • Accounts Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis and other financial analysis to identify trends, evaluate performance, and support decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement solutions for greater efficiency.

 

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience with financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Financial Management Skills

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
