Job Summary

The Academic Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic growth of boarders by working closely with teachers to monitor their progress and help students achieve their academic goals. This position is responsible for tracking individual student performance, providing constructive feedback to students, implementing improvement strategies, and maintaining communication with teachers. The Academic Associate will actively contribute to fostering a collaborative approach to academic success by regularly updating progress reports and ensuring students are on track to meet their targets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide subject-specific academic support to boarders.
• Coordinate with teachers to monitor and improve the progress of each boarder, focusing on areas that need attention.
• Maintain progress reports for each student and update supervisors on the academic performance of assigned boarders.
• Set academic performance targets for boarders and implement plans to achieve those targets.
• Check homework diaries, respond to teacher comments, and provide feedback to students when needed.
• Attend meetings with teachers to discuss boarders' performance and collaborate on strategies for improvement.
• Review and check the copy work of assigned boarders at least once a week, offering feedback as necessary.
• Provide personalized feedback to students on their academic strengths and areas for growth.

Required Skills

Skills and Qualification:

• The ideal candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in Science/English with B.Ed. /M.Ed.
• Candidate must have 2-3 years experience as a teacher. Candidate must have good communication, leadership and management skills.
